Pattison Pension Specialists, Inc. (PPS) was founded in December of 1990 by Ronald L. Pattison, in recognition of the need for a quality, client oriented, local consulting firm in New Mexico and the Southwest. The merger of high professional standards and lower small company overhead has led to high quality service at reasonable professional fees. The company has grown from servicing 35 plans in its first year of operation to where it is now providing services to over 300 plans, both defined benefit and defined contribution plans. The current staff of PPS includes four senior consultants, Ronald L. Pattison, Leah J. Mitchell, Patrice G. Kramm and Teri Soled-Harper. These professionals offer over 100 years combined experience in employee benefits. The technical staff includes three full time and two part time employees. Leah Mitchell joined PPS in 1995. Leah is a CPA with a background in public accounting along with nine years of experience in benefit consulting firms. Teri Soled-Harper brings over 25 years of plan administration and consulting experience with her to the staff of PPS. Patrice Kramm, who joined PPS in 1993, has 18 years experience in both bank trust and consulting firm environments. |
Technical work is performed within PPS on a PC based network compiling and securing our database. Our employee benefit software is continually updated per our Service Agreement with a nationally recognized provider. Changes in legal and technical requirements are reported to PPS through a national pension news service. The PPS staff keeps up to date on issues within the retirement consulting profession through attendance of national and regional professional meetings, such as the Enrolled Actuaries Annual Meeting and the IRS Practitioners Benefits Conference. As professionals within the accounting and actuarial professions, they are subject to continuing education requirements to maintain their professional standings. |
